At the last general meeting in October 2022, we decided to move the headquarters of NeXt group from Cologne to Ratingen/Germany. The organization welcomed „a medium-sized and third-generation owner-managed elevator company in Reinbek / Germany“ to its membership. Lutz Aufzuege GmbH joined the group to advance open interface standards for lift and escalator systems.

The Schwelm Symposium convened on June 19-20, drawing approximately 200 attendees who heard talks addressing various technical and normative subjects within elevator technology. During the event, Nico Raschle and Joerg Hellmich showcased the current status of the open specification ‚CANopen-Lift Cloud Connector‘ and the reference implementation.

In April 2017 we founded the NeXt group with the goal to promote open hardware, software and standardized interfaces for the lift industry.
